Mr. Donald Earl Williams, age 78 of Magnolia, NC, left this earthly life for his eternal life on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Concord Baptist Church, 3197 S NC 903, Magnolia, NC conducted by the Reverend Jimmy Johnson. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens in Warsaw, NC. Visitation will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Padgett Funeral Home Chapel. Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Janet Mae Williams, his loving children, Ronald Earl Williams, Sr. and his wife Kaye of Magnolia, NC, Betty Anne Whitman and husband James of Kenansville, NC, and Sylvia Jane Smith and husband David of Magnolia, NC, four grandchildren, Ronald Earl Williams, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Magnolia, NC, Jessica Ann Whitman of Wilmington, NC, Holly Jane Smith of Magnolia, NC and Emily Ann Smith of Magnolia, NC, one great grandchild, Jazmyn Whitman of Wilmington, NC, a brother, J. D. Williams and wife Sandy of Magnolia, NC, and a sister, Mary Eunice Blanchard of Warsaw, NC. Born on February 15, 1936 in Pender County, Donald was the son of the late Johnny Hampton and Mattie Harrell Williams and was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd Williams, Ray Williams and Millard Williams and two sisters, Mattie Faye Quinn and Doris Anne Dail. Donald was a hard worker and farmed most of his life. He loved his family and will be missed by his family and friends. Donald was a life long member of Concord Baptist Church.
