Donna Carol Mattison Stallings of Wallace, NC, passed from her earthly life on the early morning of Friday, March 10, 2023, while at home.  Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on November 24, 1948, she is the daughter of the late Donald Raymond and Teresa Josephine Vitali Mattison.  Also preceding her in death are her siblings—Colleen Fenton and Michele Unger.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband—Gene Alvin Stallings; children—Robert Andrew Sneed of St. Louis (MO), Jennifer Barton (Brandon) of Virginia, Brandon Stallings of Arizona, Amanda Stallings of Wallace, and Kasey Glover (Austin) of New Mexico; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; very close friend—Laura; many close friends and neighbors; special niece—Antonette "Toni" Fenton; and special nephew—Todd Fenton.

Donna moved to North Carolina in 1991 from St. Louis, Missouri and was always glad she did.  She liked to shop and work in her lawn.  Her great love for animals was quite evident in that she always had several dogs in her company.  Family was always the greatest of all her loves in her life.

A service to celebrate her life is set for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, in the chapel of Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services of Wallace, NC.  Family will greet friends at visitation one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.  Officiating will be the Pastor\ Chris Jarman.  Interment will be in the Stallings Family Cemetery at 324 River Road in Wallace
