Mr. Douglas Brooks Gadeberg, age 53 of Wallace, NC, died on Monday, February 23, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Wallace First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Phil Rivenbark. Douglas is survived by his wife of 15 years, Wendy Royal Gadeberg of the home. Doug is also survived by three daughters, Jennifer Gadeberg of Illinois, Shealon Gadeberg of Illinois, and Kimberly Gadeberg of Illinois, three brothers, Mike Gadeberg and wife Vickie of Washington State, Glenn Gadeberg and wife Sherry of Washington State and Kevin Gadeberg and wife Tammy of Arizona and five grandsons. Doug was born on March 9, 1961 in San Diego, CA to the late Robert Charles and Gaye Marie (Thomason) Gadeberg. Doug retired as a Chief Petty Officer after serving 24 years in the Navy. He also enjoyed the outdoors often by playing golf, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed traveling and was an accomplished country/western dancer. He loved life and everyone loved him! He was a member of the Wallace First Baptist Church.
