Dovie Bryant, 88, of Summerville, SC, died June 27, 2011, following a brief illness. Born near Wallace, NC, on October 7, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle B. Cavanaugh and Rayford H. Cavanaugh. She is survived by two daughters, Delores Connelly McAlister and Nicole McAlister of Summerville; one son, Bob Connelly of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Billie Simpkins of Jacksonville, NC grandchildren David McAlister, Angelia McAlister Belliveau, Christopher Connelly; and four great grandchildren, Aaron McAlister, Will McAlister, Megan McAlister, and Michael Belliveau. Dovie was predeceased by a brother Don R. Cavanaugh, husband Bill Bryant, former husband Robert A. Connelly, and two grandchildren Mark McAlister and Dana McAlister.
