Mrs. Edna Evelyn Mobley Wood age 82 of Wallace died Wednesday April 11, 2012 at Milford and Reba Quinn Hospice Care Center in Kenansville. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah W. Barber and husband Nicky of Wallace, NC, four sons, David R. Wood and wife Deborah and Ricky Lee Wood and wife Lynn J., both of Wallace, NC, Harold \"Tommy\" Wood, Jr. and wife Mary of Azle, TX, and Michael L. Wood and wife Trudy of Wilson, NC, sixteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren, a sister, Maxine Lien and husband Roy J. of Lakeland, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Born July 18, 1929 in Duplin County, Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late William Corbett and Annie Ruth Hall Mobley and a member of the Wallace Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved cooking, sewing, growing flowers, very hospitable and caring to everyone, gardening and listening to gospel music. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harold Thomas Wood, a sister, Annie Carol Futrell and a brother, Eldridge Odell Mobley. Casket bearers will be Harold T. Wood, III, Jamie D. Wood, Christopher L. Wood, Philip W. Barber, Jonathan L. Wood and Seth G. Wood.
