Edward Earl Newmons of Wallace left his earthly home on Monday, December 31, 2018 while at home surrounded by his family.  Born on February 25, 1954, he was the son of the late Nathan Paul and Christine Wiley Newmons.  He was also preceded in death by an infant sister Elizabeth Newmons.

Mr. Newmons worked for thirty plus years in the swine production industry in Duplin County.  He came from a family of six boys so he knew the value of comradery.  He enjoyed hunting of all types and he and his brothers were noted for their hunting dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife—Toni Murphy Newmons; children—Christopher Newmons of Chinquapin, Tara Newmons Brown and husband William of Chinquapin; Johnathon Newmons of Wallace, and Robert Newmons of Wallace; grandchildren—Jasmine Brown, Trevon Brown and Christopher Newmons Jr; brothers—Paul Newmons of Magnolia, Ernest Newmons and wife Deborah of Wallace, Jessie Newmons and wife Willa of Wallace, Kenneth Newmons of Goldsboro, and Michael Ezzell of Magnolia.
