Mr. Edward M. Watkins, age 65 of Wallace, NC, died on November 23, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC conducted by Rev . Merrell McKoy. Burial will be at Watkins Family Cemetery in Wallace, NC.

Edward is survived by his sons, Gerald Watkins of Greenville, NC and Jammie Marshburn of Ohio, his brother, Billy Watkins and wife Linda of Wilmington, NC, two sisters, Sarah Bradshaw of Fayetteville, NC and Kathy Honeycutt and husband Richard of Wallace, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

Edward was born on August 24, 1951 in Pender County to the late Johnnie Clifton and Florence Brock Watkins. He is also predeceased by his sister, Jeanette W. Murphy and his brother, Eugene Watkins.

Edward loved gardening and fishing.
