Elizabeth "Betty" Hepler Harvell departed her earthly life for her eternal rest on June 2, 2018 while a resident of Brian Center Nursing Center. She was born on October 16, 1945 in Wayne County to the late Claude and Elizabeth Warren Hepler Surviving are her son—Phillip Alexander "Pete" Williams and wife Heather of Carolina Beach, NC; sister—Carolyn Longest and husband Beaufort of Pittsburgh, PA; brother—Warren Hepler and wife Helen of Wallace, NC.

Mrs. Harvell was a wonderful and friendly lady, with a lot of common sense, who went out of her way to help others, many times anonymously. Doing nice things for others was a pleasure for her. She enjoyed shopping tremendously and was at her best when sharing time with friends at Norris Restaurant and McDonalds and in her daily encounters with others. Betty was a life-long member of the Wallace United Methodist Church and was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society. Family has asked that, rather than floral arrangements, contributions be made to the Wallace United Methodist Church in her memory.
