Helen Elizabeth Pierce of Hickory, NC formerly of Sneads Ferry and Wallace, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 14, 2020.  Born September 21, 1934 in Martin County, she was the oldest of four children born to the late George Washington and Mary Lee Ollie Roebuck Stevenson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Gwen Pierce and all of her siblings, George Stevenson, Haywood Stevenson, and Joyce Poteat.   She is survived by her husband, Harmon Pierce and their son, John Pierce and his wife, Gloria Sherrill Pierce and their two grandsons, Aaron Pierce and Zachary Pierce.

Elizabeth dedicated her life to others.  She set the example for being an outstanding homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Her son affectionately refers to her as "June Cleaver without the pearls" and all who know and love her can attest that this is true.  She always had a kind work for everyone, pulled for every "underdog" and her heart knew no bounds when it came to loving and caring for those around her.  Elizabeth will be remembered as a Proverbs 31 woman who lived her love for the Lord on a daily basis.

Receiving of family and friends will be on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Oak Dale Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Wallace, NC.  Receiving will be at 11:00 a.m. with the celebration of Elizabeth's life immediately following in the sanctuary at noon.
