Mrs. Emmie Lou Johnson age 74 of Harrells, NC, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Silver Stream Health & Rehab Center, Wilmington. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Wells Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ed Rouse, Rev. Ottis King and Rev. John Harris. Burial will follow in the Wells Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, January 28, 2013 at Padgett Funeral Home, Wallace. She is survived by three sons, Allen Johnson and wife Kim of Harrells, NC, Jeff Johnson and wife Janet of Harrells, NC and Charles Johnson and wife Sharon of Harrells, NC, two daughters, Sue Johnson Allen and Jeff of Carolina Beach, NC and Janet Arnette and husband Paul of Mt. Olive, NC, ten grandchildren, Hannah Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Joey Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Hayley Johnson, John Lewis Allen III and wife Kristen, Jerry Lee Allen, Wendy Butler and husband William, Rebecca Jordan and Adam Eason, five great grandchildren, Brittian, Serenity, Patrick, Kayla, and Jace, a brother, James Lloyd McCall \"Buck\" and wife Norma of Clarkton, NC, two sisters, Grace Cain and husband Charles of Elizabethtown, NC and Becky Schnepf and husband Ricky of Bladenboro, NC and several nieces and nephews. Born April 20, 1938 in Clarkton, NC, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Ora Bundy and Rosa Lee (Townsend) McCall and was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jerry A. Johnson Sr., a brother, O.B. McCall Jr. and a sister Katherine \"Kitty\" Davis. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Wells Chapel Baptist Church. She graduated from Clarkton High School in May of 1956. Some of her hobbies included sewing, cooking, reading, crafting but her passion was taking care of her grandchildren. Emmie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Casketbearers are: Hunter Johnson, Lawrence McCall, Lloyd McCall, Chris Hudson, Dusty Weeks, Jerry Lee Allen, George Merritt and Steven Schnepf.
