Ernest Ray Parker of Wallace, NC departed his earthly life in the late evening of Friday, October 23, 2020 while at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.  Born in Duplin County on May 31, 1941, he is the son of the late Alonza and Hazel Henderson Parker.  Also preceding him in death are siblings--Germon Parker, Claudie Parker, Catherine Wells, John Dawson Parker, Annie Bland, and Clarence Parker.

Left to cherish his memory are siblings--Vissie Blanton of Willard, Jack Parker and wife Hazel of Wilson, Thurman "Bob" Parker and wife Eleanor of Wallace, James Parker and wife Linda of Wallace, Patsy Kennedy of Beulaville, Sandra Maready of Chinquapin, Lonnie D. Parker and wife Carolyn of Wendell, and Roy G. Parker and wife Lynn of Spring Hope.

In early years Ernest spent a tour of duty in the United States Army.  He then became involved in the heating and air conditioning industry in sheet metal installation.

A graveside service to celebrate his life is set for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Riverview Memorial Park of Watha, NC
