Mr. Eugene Franklin Watkins, age 62 of Wallace, NC, died on April 4, 2016 at his residence. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 3:00-4:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC conducted by Rev. Jimmy Johnson. Burial will be at Watkins Cemetery in Wallace, NC.

Eugene is survived by his son, Stephen Watkins and wife Renea of Wallace, NC, his daughters, Tammy Cox and husband Keith of Clinton, NC and Crystal Moore of Watha, NC, two brothers, Billy Watkins of Wilmington, NC and Edward Watkins of Wallace, NC, two sisters, Sarah Bradshaw of Fayetteville, NC and Kathy Honeycutt of Wallace, NC, his grandchildren, Tammie Watkins of Wallace, NC, Troy Watkins of Wallace, NC, Stephen Watkins, Jr. of Wallace, NC, Coby Watkins of Wallace, NC, Brittany Johnson of Clinton, NC and Samantha Johnson of Clinton, NC.

Eugene was born on September 23, 1953 in Pender County to the late Johnnie Clifton and Florence Brock Watkins. He is also predeceased by his sister, Jeanette W. Murphy.
