Mrs. Eunice Childrey Talbott, age 80, of Wallace, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. She is survived by her husband Walter Carson \"W.C.\" Talbott of the home; one daughter, Terry Lynn Talbott Watkins and husband Joseph \"Joe\" of Burgaw; two grandsons, Jonathan Watkins and Patrick Watkins; three sisters, Lois Buchanan, Bernice Lowery and Linda Wilmouth; three brothers, Jimmy Childrey, Enzie Childrey and Archie Childrey. Mrs. Talbott was a native of Halifax County, Virginia. She was born September 23, 1930 to the late James Hurley and Bessie Lee New Childrey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Young and one brother, Lee Childrey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallace. Mrs. Talbott also loved flowers, singing, and working in the yard. Casketbearers will be Jonathan Watkins, Patrick Watkins, Albert Watkins, Billy Ivey, Ed Tooley, and John Willis Peterson, Sr.
