Gary Glenn Boone of Magnolia, NC, passed from his earthly life on Saturday, September 9, 2023, while at Lower Care Fear Life Care Center in Wilmington, NC.  Born on March 23, 1960, he is the son of the late Elbert Ray and Louise Stroud Boone.  Also preceding him in death are siblings—Doris Dixon and Elbert Kenneth "Buck" Boone.

Left to cherish his memory are siblings—Joyce Jones and husband Jimmy of Clinton, Louise "Skeeter' Holland of Turkey, Anthony Boone of Rose Hill, and Kim Yanez of Pink Hill; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog "Knot Head".

Mr. Boone was a quiet, kind, humble, and genuinely good man, who absolutely loved his trucking career.  He would do anything for anyone and would do it without being asked.  When health issues arose in his life several years ago, he never complained.  He was loved by many people and will be truly missed.

A service to celebrate his life is set for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in the 401 West Main Street chapel of Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services of Wallace.  Interment will follow in Devotional Gardens of Warsaw.  Family requests that, rather than floral arrangements, consideration be given to a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
