George is survived by his wife, Gina Eakins of Harrells, NC, his son, George Eakins, Jr. and wife Amie of Wallace, NC, his daughter, Gracie Eakins of Harrells, NC, two granddaughters, Hannah Bass of Clinton, NC and Georgia Forrest Cavenaugh Eakins of Wallace, NC, three sisters, Kathryn Eakins of Harrells, NC, Suzann Evans and husband Wendell of Magnolia, NC and Jane Long and husband Bobby of Buies Creek, NC, one nephew, Jamie House and wife Jennifer of Key West, FL, a niece, Rebekah Gordon and husband Brad of Sneads Ferry, NC and one great nephew, Gregory Gordon of Sneads Ferry, NC. Born on April 7, 1953 in Sampson County, George was the son of the late Alexander Rhodes and Katie George Kennedy Eakins. George loved hunting, fishing, and farming. He loved spending time with his family and will be missed by his family and friends.
