Alexander
December 2, 2028 – October 13, 2010
Geraldine \"Jeri\" Bradshaw Alexander \"To everything there is a season......a time to be born, and a time to die.\" Ecclesiastes 3:1 On October 13, 2010 our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Geraldine (Jeri) B. Alexander reached her season to die and has found peace and comfort in our Lord's arms. Jeri was born in Gastonia, NC on December 2, 1928 to the late Elonzo A. and Artie Wilkerson Bradshaw. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Flint H. Bradshaw, Blair A. (\"Speedy\") Bradshaw and James Frank Bradshaw. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jim Alexander, a daughter, Patricia (Pat) Alexander of Wallace, NC; a son Jim (Jimbo) Alexander, Jr. and wife Sherri of Wilmington, NC and three grandchildren that have been the greatest joy of her life, Brad Alexander, Jamie Alexander and Rebekah Alexander. She is also survived by two sisters, Irene B. Bivens and Ann B. Thomas, both of Gastonia, NC and many nieces and nephews. Jeri was a member of Wallace Presbyterian Church. She retired from Duplin County Schools Foodservice in 1991 after 28 years. She enjoyed her work in the cafeteria and after retirement she treasured her time with the children in the Church. Wherever there were children, she loved interacting with and caring for them and they loved \"Grandma\" Jeri. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her loving, caring nature. She gave generously of her time and resources to her family and friends. Helping others was her greatest pleasure. \"To everything there is a season....A time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance.\" Ecclesiastes 3:1-4.
