Mr. Harold \"Hank\" O. Morgan, age 77, of Wallace passed away peacefully, August 20, 2011 at his residence after a brave battle with cancer. His family and close friends were by his side. Hank Morgan served in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Master Sergeant with 30 years of honorable service. He served in Korea and 4 tours of combat duty in Vietnam with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines and was awarded the Bronze Star with combat \"V\". He also served tours at Marine Corps Barracks, San Juan PR, MAG-32 MCAS Beaufort SC, Marine Corps Barracks 8th and I Street, Washington DC, and H&S Company, 1st ITR MCB, Camp Lejeune, NC. After retirement, Hank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, a volunteer with Wallace Presbyterian Church, a volunteer to military and community service groups, a mentor to church youth groups, and hunting. Hank Morgan is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lorene Morgan; Brothers: Leslie Morgan and his wife Dottie of Jefferson TN; Predeceased by his son David; Survived by his son Daniel Van Orden and his wife Julie of Mechanicsville MD, Step-Son R.L. Pickett and his wife Claudette of Beulaville, NC and Step-Daughter Ann Henderson of Whiteville, NC; Grandchild Tess Van Orden, and Step-Grandchildren David Pickett and Rhonda Cave, and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
