Mr. J. T. Cottle, Jr., age 77 of Watha, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC conducted by the Reverend Gregory James and the Reverend Charles Love. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Mae Cottle of Watha, NC, a son, Lindsey K. Cottle and wife Jennifer of Teachey, NC, a daughter, Marie Cottle Greer of Rocky Point, NC, three grandchildren, Alexandria Ericka Greer, RachelAnn Cottle, and Jessica Nicole Love, four brothers, Frank Cottle and wife Mary of Rose Hill, NC, Jessie Cottle of Teachey, NC, Tommy Cottle of Willard, NC, and Francis Cottle and wife Joy of Richmond, VA, four sisters, Faye Kelly and John of Richmond, VA, Geraldine Futral of Harrells, NC, Clara Bell Lanier of Chinquapin, NC, and Brenda Naylor and husband M. C. of Harrells, NC and several nieces and nephews. Born February 24, 1936, Mr. Cottle was the son of the late John T. and Jannie Lee (Scurry) Cottle. Mr. Cottle was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved going to flea markets and being outdoors fishing.
