Jacob Wesley Aycock, Jr. of Wallace, NC departed his earthly home late in the evening of Wednesday, October 7, 2020 while a resident of Woodbury Wellness Center of Hampstead, NC.  Born on March 25, 1930, he was the son of the late Jacob Wesley Aycock, Sr and Ozzie Mae Yelverton Aycock of Wayne County, NC.  He was preceded in death, just five weeks previously, by his wife of fifty-five years--Joyce Mae Howell Aycock.

Left to cherish his memory are his children--Jacob W. Aycock III and wife Eileen of Topsail Beach, Robert H. Aycock and wife Linda of Hampstead, and Patricia S. Blanchard and husband Morton of Topsail Beach; grandchildren--Joe Blanchard and wife Lindsay of Wallace, Ronda Aycock of Los Angeles, Robert Wesley Aycock (deceased), Jacob Wesley Aycock IV of Durham, Jason R. Aycock and wife Leah of Clinton, and Benjamin Blanchard and wife Lauren of Raleigh; great grandchildren--Emma Jean, Britton, and Taylor Blanchard.

Mr. Aycock worked alongside his family in the family business--Aycock and Sons Milling Company during his early days in Wallace.  He later served as a magistrate in Duplin County where he devoted valuable time to serving his community.

A family graveside service is set for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, NC.  Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services is serving the Aycock family.
