James Robert Jones of Littleton, NC and formerly of Lenoir County passed from his earthly life on Thursday, August 5, 2021 while at Vidant North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC.  Born on October 24, 1942, he is the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Sara Elizabeth Wallace Jones.

Left to cherish his life are his wife—Carolyn Walker Jones of the home; sons—James Michael Jones and wife Lauren of Rocky Mount, NC and Robert Brent Jones and wife Christina of Greenville, NC; brother—Benjamin Thomas Jones and wife Janice of Chapin, SC; sister—Katie  King of Grifton, NC; grandchildren—Brody, Noah, and Emma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jones spent his working years in the banking industry in North Carolina before retiring to the Littleton area.

A graveside service to celebrate his life is set for 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021 in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery in Wallace, NC.  Family asks that, rather than floral gifts, contributions be considered to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
