Mr. James Alvin Salmon age 73 of 2108 Old Mill Road, Wallace died Monday August 3, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, August 7, 2009 from Padgett Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Tom McMahan and Rev. Tommy Blanton. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. He is survived by four aunts, Ruby Giddens of Willard, Pearl Honeycutt of Raleigh, Winnie Martell of Ashville, and Grace Carter of Wallace and five half-sisters. Born June 8, 1936 in Pender County, Mr. Salmon was the son of the late Bertha Giddens. The family will receive at Padgett Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:30 pm Friday, and at the residence of Ms. Ruby Giddens 4737 Willard Road, Willard other times.
