Mr. James \"Jimmy\" Franklin Sawyer Jr., of Maple Hill, NC, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington. Graveside services will be held at Sawyer Family Cemetery on 11:00 am Saturday, March 9, 2013 conducted by his siblings, Tammy and Terry. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. He is survived by his father, James Sawyer Sr., two daughters, Jamie and Shannon Sawyer, a grandson, Zachary Dance, two sisters, Elizabeth and Tammy, a brother, Terry, a son-in-law, John Dance and several nieces, nephews and friends. Born August 23, 1955, James was the son of James Sawyer Sr., and the late Ida Zell Sawyer and was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne Sawyer and a sister, Brenda Kay Sawyer. He had faith in God. He enjoyed working and fixing up appliances, cars, and lawnmowers. His family was the most important thing in his live and he will be loved and missed dearly.
