Joan Carroll Merola age 71 of Wallace died November 20, 2011 at her Residence. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Frank S. Merola of Wallace, two daughters, Lisa Carroll Granata and husband Michael and Vickie Heim and husband William, both of Pittsburgh, PA, one son, Paul Carrig, III and Darla of Pittsburgh, PA, one niece, Dianna Burkett of Wilmington, five grandchildren, Nicole Carrig, Ryan Carrig, Ashley Carrig, Lauren Granata and Michael Granata. Special friends, Dr. Daniel M. Ricci, Dr. Kamran Goudarzi, Andrea Thomas and Amie Rivenbark. Special thanks to their best friend and hospice nurse, Bridgette Powell. Born February 13, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA, Mrs. Merola was the daughter of the late John Carroll and Harriett PFeil Kemmerer.
