Mr. Joseph Larry Jordan age 65 of Magnolia died Tuesday May 24, 2011 at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marie West Jordan, of the home, one daughter, Kristy Marie Jordan of Magnolia, two brothers, David Jordan and Perry Jordan and wife Sue, both of Burgaw and two nephews, Kevin Jordan and Steven Jordan. Born on June 5, 1945 in New Hanover County, Mr. Jordan was the son of the late Joseph Ezra and Elizabeth Inez Jordan Jordan and attended Magnolia United Methodist Church. He loved to build lighthouses, bird houses and enjoyed watching westerns. Casketbearers will be David White, Morris Cavenaugh, Kevin Jordan, Kenneth Baker, Harvey Sholar and Richard Hand. The family will receive friends at their residence in Magnolia at other times.
