Mrs. Katie Eva Hill passed from her earthly life on Saturday morning April 10, 2020 while a resident of The Laurels of Pender in Burgaw, NC.  Born on February 28, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Myrtle Ruth Heath Swinson.  Also preceding her in death were her first husband--Junior Surcey and her second husband--David Hill.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons--Caleb Junior Surcey and wife Rose of Beulaville, NC and Nathanael Calvin Surcey and wife Sarah of Rose Hill, NC; sister--Emma Byrd of Wallace, NC.

Mrs. Katie spent her career working as a certified nursing assistant  in many nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the Wallace area.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
