Mr. Kenneth Blanchard, age 68 of Warsaw, NC, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, February 24, 2014 at Padgett Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Rodney Bonham and Rev. Lindy Jones. Family visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 - 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Barbara (Rochelle) Blanchard of the home, four children, Donna Blanchard Jones and husband Kevin of Taylors, S.C, Teresa James of Wallace, NC, Bonnie Ezzell and husband Ronald of Watha, NC, and Sam James of Warsaw, NC, seven grandchildren, Gaige Casteen, Jennifer Renee Jones, Branch Armstrong, Scott Dale, Carmen Dale Piner, Harlee James and Heidi James, three great grandchildren, Jakob Casteen, Hannah Grace Dixon, Emily Anne Piner. Two sisters, Faye Blanchard Barwick and husband Harold of Mt. Olive, NC, and Emily Blanchard Wilson and husband John of Mt. Olive, NC, and three nephews. Born May 28, 1945 in Warsaw, NC, Mr. Blanchard is the son of Mary Eunice W. Blanchard and the late Lyston Frederick Blanchard and was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Lynn Blanchard. Kenneth is a graduate of James Kenan High School. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967, serving in Vietnam. He was employed at Guilford Mills for 28 years.
