Mr. Kenneth Ray Shepard, Sr. age 68 of Cypress Creek, NC, died Friday February 24, 2012 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Bland Shepard, of the home, a son, Kenneth \"Ken\" Ray Shepard, Jr. and wife Michelle of Cypress Creek, NC, a daughter, Deedra Shepard (Bryant) Masaitis of Wilmington, NC, a granddaughter, Mary Kathryn Shepard and three grandsons, Conner Shepard, Corbin Masaitis and Tommy Ray Shepard, a brother, Theron Shepard and wife Shirley of Cypress Creek, NC, a sister, Linda Carol Cottle and husband Roy of Charlotte, NC. Born June 10, 1943 in Onslow County, Mr. Shepard was the son of the late Raymond and Flora May Gurganus Shepard and was a member of Maple Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved hunting dogs, fox hunting, Nascar and spending time with his family. Casket bearers will be Brien Shepard, Brad Cottle, Kris Cottle, John Sorenson, John Dunn, Chris Meyers, William Keith Brown and David Brown.
