Reverend Kenneth Eugene \"Bill\" Wilson, age 82, of Magnolia died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Brian Center of Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Lessie M. Wilson, of the home, two sons, Wayne Wilson of Wilmington and Forrest Wilson of Magnolia, one grandchild, Catherine Wilson of Raleigh, three special daughters, Brenda Scronce of Wallace, Vickie Dixon of Rose Hill and Beth Batchelor of Teachey and two sisters, Jean Martin of Fort Worth, TX and Eleanor Johnson of Peoria, IL. Born August 23, 1928 in Duplin County, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Berkley B. and Lila Sanderson Wilson and was the founding pastor of Faith Independent Baptist Church. He served the Lord for 50 years by spreading the message of God and was known as a gentle and caring man, faithful husband, wonderful father and loving grandfather. He also worked for Smith Brothers for 47 years. Casketbearers will be Bobby Smith, Gary Bell, Nelson Hope, Craig Brock, Dan Tucker and Mike Scronce.
