Kimberly Welborn aged 61 passed away on the 25th of May, 2022. After a brief illness, she was called to the arms of her Heavenly Father. Kim was born on December 19, 1960 to Virginia (Doodie) Bell Vickers and Glenn Welborn of Ramseur, NC. When Kim was six years of age, the family moved to Carolina Beach, seeking a new start with a beach life. Kim attended Carolina Beach Elementary School and Hoggard Highschool. Her grandmother, Delphia, was a well known figure at the beach, working a the Landmark Restaurant where Kim worked as a teenager. She met and married Bobby Farrow and they had 20 years of marriage together. Although she and Bobby moved to Wallace, NC for other endeavors, her heart would be forever in Carolina Beach.

She was a true beach girl with sand in her shoes. A true and faithful servant to her God. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Ryan Hales and a step-son, John Jessie Farrow. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bobby, her brother, Lynn Welborn, son, Shannon Gordon and her grandchildren, Lyric Gordon, Jadyn Hales and Delilah Hales, whom she loved dearly and cherished her time with them.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 7:00pm at Padgett's Funeral Home, 401 West Main Street, Wallace, NC.
