Mrs. Laura Blanton Teachey age 103 of Wallace died Thursday May 17, 2012 at Kenansville Health and Rehab Center. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Goswick of Franklinton, NC, two sons, Billy James Varker and wife Elizabeth of Warsaw, NC, and Bobby Ray Varker and wife Carol of Coco Beach, FL, ten grandchildren, Wayne Goswick and wife Gail of Greenville, NC, Jeff Goswick and wife Carol of Clayton, NC, Ronnie Goswick of Louisburg, NC, Lynn Goswick of Manhattan, NY, James Albert Varker of Warsaw, NC, Barbara Best of Warsaw, NC, Billy Ray Varker and wife Crystal of Albertson, NC, Elizabeth Ann Dean and husband Joey of Wallace, NC, Ursula Marchbanks and husband Bruce of Hanford, CA and Tonya Frisch and husband Todd of Durant, IA, eighteen great grandchildren, two nieces, Edna Usher and husband Earl and Pat Brown and husband Jerald, both of Wallace, NC, and a nephew, Pete Blanton and wife Betty of Wallace, NC. Born June 29, 1908 in Duplin County, Mrs. Teachey was the daughter of the late Everette and Emma Jane Tew Blanton and was a member of Rose Hill United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, flowers, gardening, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 5 years, Bill Varker and her second husband of 9 years, Tommy Teachey, two brothers, Pearlie Blanton and Albert Blanton and a sister, Callie Blanton.
