Lenora Lynn Losaw

Lenora Lynn Losaw of Rose Hill, NC, passed from her earthly life on the evening of Friday, July 10, 2026, while in ECU Health Duplin Hospital of Kenansville, NC. Born on September 21, 1963, she is the daughter of the late Jean Marie Morrisey Losaw and Lawrence Lloyd Losaw, Sr. She is also preceded in death by brothers—Lawrence Lloyd Losaw, Jr. and Roscoe Benjamin Losaw; granddaughter—Isabella Grace Hannah; and brother-in-law—Tony Michael Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her children—Carrie Lynn Losaw of Wallace, Mary Ann Sheffield of Rose Hill, and Daisy Marrie Gurganious of Jefferson, SC; siblings—Laurie Lee Gurganious of New Mexico, Leon Leslie Losaw of Clinton (NC), Wanda Losaw Brown of Harrells (NC), Donald Eugene Losaw and wife Sheila of Jacksonville (NC), and Tisha Jane Losaw of Fayetteville (NC); grandchildren—Corey Sheffield, Christopher Newmons, Haliey Hannah, Tyrone Carl Gurganious, and Bria Hope Jones.

Ms. Losaw was born in Massachusetts and moved with her family to North Carolina in early life. During her career, she worked as a seamstress in several textile manufacturing plants in the Wallace area. She was known for working hard to get the job done in whatever she was doing. Cooking for others was one of her favorite things to do and she prepared many an excellent meal for everyone who was around her. It is said that she was a little “bossy” and was “true ginger”, so, if you did not agree with her, you might want to reconsider the way you were thinking. She loved life time and Hallmark movies and spent a great deal of time enjoying them. The love she had for her grandchildren was inconceivable and, in her eyes, they could not do anything wrong.
