Leslie Kelso "Kelsie" Smith of Rose Hill, NC departed her earthly life on the evening of Sunday, January 2, 2022.  Born on December 25, 1987, she is the daughter of Deeanna Robinson Mott and the late Raymond Earl Smith, Jr.  Also preceding her in death are her grandparents—Leslie "Buddy" and Linda Richardson Brock; grandfather—Raymond Earl Smith, Sr.; and grandparents—Jack and Dottie Robinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children—Harley Rae Smith, Alexis Nylinda Swinson, and Brenan Sebastian Smith-Crumpler, all of Rose Hill; biological mother—Deeanna Robinson Mott of Rocky Mount; sister—Candi Szabo of California; great grandmother—Doris Casteen Richardson; special friend Jaleesa Crumpler of Rose Hill; and several aunts, uncles, and other family members.

Ms. Smith spent her work career in the long-term healthcare field as a certified nursing assistant.  She was always full of life in her care of the elderly in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.  Her children were the center of her life along with her extended family.

A service to celebrate her life is set for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022, in Riverview Memorial Park of Watha, NC, officiated by Mrs. Judy Norris.
