Mrs. Lillie Casteen Henderson age 93 of Wallace, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at her residence. She is survived by six daughters, Sally Grant of Warsaw, Virgie Hamilton of Asheboro, Kaye Smith and husband Mike and Barbara James and husband Stanley of Wallace, Neva Harts and husband Larry of Surf City, and Sharon Batchelor and husband Larry of Topsail Island; four sons, Adell \"Sambo\" Henderson, Jr., Ricky Henderson and wife Wendy, and Randy Henderson of Wallace, and Otis Henderson and wife Barbara of Richlands; twenty-nine grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She is also survived by half-sister, Nelma Gray and half-brothers, S. D. Casteen and Garland Casteen; step-sisters, Bernice Henderson and Stella Lloyd. Born September 30, 1916 in Duplin County, Mrs. Henderson is the daughter of the late Stephen D. Casteen and Eva Henderson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Adell Quinton Henderson of 71 years, and sons Hilton Lee Henderson and Curtis (Johnson) Henderson; grandson, Keith Dwayne Henderson; sisters, Letha Cavenaugh and Libby Dail; brother, Elwood Casteen and step-sister Mazie Orzment.
