Mrs. Linda Richardson Brock, age 74 of Wallace, NC, went home to be with the Lord on November 17, 2015 at Silver Stream Health and Rehab in Wilmington, NC. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Padgett Funeral Home, Wallace, NC conducted by the Rev. Tommy Blanton. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Cemetery in Watha, NC. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Leslie James "Buddy" Brock of the home, her mother , Doris Casteen Richardson , her daughters, Patricia Smith Pigford and husband Mark of Willard, NC, Renee Hines Maready of Wallace, NC and Leslie Kelso "Kelsie" Smith of Rose Hill, NC, her son, Michael Wayne Smith and Jessie Maranto of Etters, PA, her grandchildren, Emily Pigford, Abigail P. Jones and husband Brandon, Anna Pigford, Tyler Raymond Smith, Jacey Lynn Smith, Shane Hines and wife Charlie Beth, Justin Hines and wife Lizzie, Hannah Hines, Leslie Grace Maready, Harley Rae Smith, Alexis Swinson and Brenan Smith, great grandchildren, Jayden Hines, Charlotte Hines and Camden Hines, her sisters, Carol Malschak and husband Tony of Wilmington, NC and Deborah Richardson Swartz and husband Louis of Wilmington, NC and her brother, Harrell Thomas Richardson and wife Cathy of Holly Hill, SC.

She was born November 3, 1941 in Pender County, NC, and was the daughter of Doris Casteen Richardson and the late John Thomas Richardson and was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Earl Smith, Jr, her sisters, Judy Rogers and Kathy Outlaw and her brother, Larry Richardson.

Linda loved being surrounded by her family. She loved reading and painting. She was a charter member of Union Rescue, where she served for 21 years.

Casketbearers will be Michael Smith, Mark Pigford, Shane Hines, Justin Hines, Tyler Smith and Larry Richardson, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Linda's memory to The Zimmer Cancer Center 2131 S. 17th Street Wilmington, NC 28401.
