Mrs. Linda Faye Johnson, age 66 of Teachey, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 at Corinth Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Andy Beard, Reverend Matthew Burris and Joey Price. Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services chapel.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Johnson of Teachey, NC, a daughter, Rhonda Bond and husband Michael of Teachey, NC, a son, Tony Johnson and wife Kristian of Kenansville, NC, four grandchildren, Morgan and Austin Bond of Teachey, NC and Scarlett and Hayden Johnson of Kenansville, NC, two sisters, Dorothy Brown and husband Jimmy of Hampstead, NC and Shirley DeSedas and husband Cesar of Panama City, Panama.
Mrs. Johnson was born on October 10, 1947 in Duplin County to the late Alvin and Thelma (Lanier) Casteen. She was predeceased by a special nephew, Neal Bryant.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She graduated from Wallace Rose Hill High School. She loved her church having taught Sunday School for the past 35 years and also enjoyed singing in the church choir. Her greatest joy was her husband, children and grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Joey Price, Ricky Matthews, Gregory Johnson, Courtney Swanson, Chad Brooks, Jack Sandlin, Darrell Bryant, Jose DeSedas, Cesar DeSedas, Allen Jackson and Billy Hickman.
