Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Cavenaugh Hardison laid down her physical body to enter her heavenly home with Jesus Christ for eternity on February 12, 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service.

She was born on October 9, 1926 in Duplin County, NC to the late Gaylor A. and Cora Elizabeth Brown Cavenaugh. She is also predeceased by her husband, Sam Hardison, Jr., grandsons, Samuel Thurman Hardison, Jr. (Buddy) and Thurman Kirk Norris, great grandson, Jimmy Leon Norris, Jr., six brothers and three sisters.

Louise loved God first, her familial family and her church family, to the fullest and unconditionally. Louise lived the scripture: "…Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these, My brethren, you did it to me." Matthew 25:40. She served God through her work at home , on the farm as well as caregiver to her Mom for several years.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Samuel Thurman Hardison and wife Jean of Beulaville, NC, Joyce Elizabeth Norris of Beulaville, NC and LaVoice Hardison Kallestad and husband Peter A. of Lexington, SC, her sister-in-law, JoAnn Cavenaugh of Wallace, NC, six grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who will also miss her physical presence on this earth plane.

Louise was a simple woman who lived a simple life. She was a friend to all who wanted or needed a friend. She visibly expressed God's love in thought , word and deed. In other words, she walked her talk. She will be sorely missed; however, she is experiencing a most happy reunion with her husband, parents, brothers and sisters. Moreover, God welcomed her with outstretched arms at the pearly gates with "Well done the good and faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your Lord." Amen.

Casket Bearers will be Michael Cavenaugh, John Edwards, Rodney Hardison, Kelway Howard III, Durwood Norris and Jimmy Norris.

The family will accept flowers or you may send a memorial in Louise's memory to NHRMC Foundation PMH Skilled Nursing 507 East Fremont Street Burgaw, NC 28425.
