Mr. Luther \"Jack\" Wells, Sr., of Teachey, NC, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his residence. Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Teachey Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Craig Richardson. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Padgett Funeral Home, Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shelia Pinyatello Wells, three sons, Luther \"Jack\" Jackson Wells, Jr. and wife Wendy of Wallace, NC, Jonathan Paul Wells of Teachey, NC and Kevin Anthony Wells and wife Alicia of Burgaw, NC, five grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Alissa, Tori, Austin, a brother, Jerry Wells of Charlotte, NC, a sister, Joy Swift and husband Bob of Louisville, KY, and several nieces and nephews. Born December 30, 1954 in Wilmington, NC, Mr. Wells was the son of the late Luther Hill and Dorothy Turner Wells. Jack attended Wallace Rose Hill High School and then worked for many years in the U.S. Merchant Marines. Jack enjoyed watching Nascar racing, western movies, his North Carolina Tarheels but most of all loved spending time with his family.
