Malissa Carol Rackley Zehring of Rose Hill, NC passed from her earthly life on the morning of Monday, January 10, 2022 while at home.  Born on August 31, 1966, she is the daughter of Joyce Ann Rackley of Willard and the late Preston Carroll Rackley.  She is also preceded in death by her father-in-law—William Seaborn.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband—Scott Anthony Zehring of the home; children—William Anthony Zehring of Willard and Kathleen Marie Graverholt of Altos (OK); mother—Joyce Ann Rackley of Willard; mother-in-law—Gloria Seaborn of Wallace; and grandchildren—Anna Graverholt of Norfolk (NE), Ryan Graverholt of Norfolk (NE), and Carol Ann Zehring of Whiteville (NC).

Mrs. Zehring began her career in the United States Army where she remained for two years.  Later in life she received an associate degree and was comptroller for Duplin Winery in Rose Hill.

A service to celebrate her life is set for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Riverview Memorial Mausoleum in Watha.  Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the Zehring family.
