Mrs. Manola Johnson Wells, age 96 of Harrells, NC, went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2015 at Southwood Nursing Center in Clinton, NC. A celebration of Mrs. Manola's life will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 12:00 p.m. at Wells Chapel Baptist Church in Wallace, NC conducted by the Rev. Freddie Harris and Rev. Joe Lee. Burial will follow at the Church cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Vette of Harrells, NC, her sons, Joe Wells and wife Sylvia of Harrells, NC, Graham C. Wells and wife Irene of Richmond, VA and Larry Wells and wife Kay of Goldsboro, NC, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was born on September 19, 1918 in Sampson County, NC to the late Charles Samuel and Mary Wells Johnson. She is also predeceased by her husband, Rufus Currie Wells, premature twin girls and four brothers, Harvey Johnson, Charley Johnson, Jacob Johnson and Carl Johnson. Pall Bearers will be Currie Wells, Greg Wells, Andy Wells, Michael Wells, Charlie Vette and John Duling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Manola's memory to Wells Chapel Cemetery Fund, 2070 S NC Hwy 41 Wallace, NC 28466. Family will be receiving guests at home.
