Ms. Margaret Elizabeth Brown, age 83 of Wallace, NC, passed away on December 14, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC conducted by the Rev. Ted Penny. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery in Warsaw, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Martin of Wallace, NC, her son, Leon Brown of Burgaw, NC, two grandchildren, Erin Martin of Jacksonville, NC and Jill Williams of Wallace, NC, three great grandchildren, Laekan Martin, Liam Williams and Ellianna Bennett, two brothers, Curtis Anderson and wife Bridgett of Fayetteville, NC and Billy Anderson and wife Frances of Wilmington, NC. Born March 7, 1931 in Duplin County, NC, Ms. Brown was the daughter of the late Curtis Henry and Lizzie (Royal) Anderson and was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Anderson, Robert Lee Anderson and Morris Anderson and a sister, Catherine A. Rackley. Margaret was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Burgaw and loved working in flowers and being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Casket Bearers are Billy Albertson, Earl Smith, Chris Martin, Mike Anderson, Ronnie Anderson and Greg Rackley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
