Mrs. Marie Brewer Pierce, age 85 of Wallace, NC, died on September 5, 2015 at her residence in Wallace, NC. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC conducted by the Rev. Doug Campbell. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 at Padgett Funeral Home, Wallace, NC.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara LaHaie and husband Steven of Pierson, MI, Nellie Fay Baker of Wallace, NC and Mary Sharp of Newport Richie, FL, two sons, Tommy Knight of Iona, MI and Curtis Knight, Jr. and wife Susan of Blissfield, MI, two sisters, Gracie Hunt of Lumberton, NC and Joyce Jones and husband Roland of Magnolia, NC, her brother, Sammy Hunt and wife Phoebe of Ivanhoe, NC and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was born on June 19, 1930 in Robeson County, NC to the late Britton Oxendine and Martha Brewer Hunt. She is also predeceased by her husband, Donald Ray Pierce, her brother, Ernest Brewer and her sister Marcella English.
