Mrs. Martha Mae Houston age 85 of Wallace died Wednesday February 2, 2011 in Wilmington. She is survived by two sons, Donald Houston and Joseph Houston, both of Teachey, ten grandchildren, Judy Houston, Michael Houston, Little Joe Houston, Jr., Melvin Houston and Jeffrey Houston, all of Wallace, Glenda Renee Houston and Stephanie Houston, both of Wilmington, James Houston, Jr. of Beulaville, Jillian Houston of Pink Hill and Larissa Baysden of Warsaw, eleven great grandchildren, Katie Foy, Travis Foy, Justin Pierce, Isaiah Houston, Jayla Houston, Dathan Houston, Trey Garcia-Diaz, III, Reece Garcia-Diaz, Olivia Houston, Hannah Houston and Caleb Lender. A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Houston was the daughter of the late George Everette and Leona Jarman Brock and a member of River of Life Worship Center. She was the best cook and loved her family and she put everyone before herself. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Harvey Houston, two sons, J. C. Houston and Roy Houston, three brothers, Clifton Brock, Alfred Brock and Lloyd Brock, one sister, Catherine Hall, two great grandchildren, Brandon Houston and Lexie Houston. Casketbearers will be Jeffrey Houston, Miguel Garcia-Diaz, James Houston, David Norris, Justin Strickland and Jeremy Strickland.
