Mr. Matthew George Popik, age 72 of Denver, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Padgett Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, Wallace conducted by the Rev. David Mills. Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery. He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Popik and husband Kevin Fosnocht of Radnor, Pa, Dianne Popik and husband Paul Horan of Centerville, OH, and Karyn Brinson of Gilbert, SC, four brother-in-laws, David Mills and wife Sandy, Steve Mills and wife Jan, Joe Mills, and James Mills and wife Judy two sister-in-laws, Emily Craven and husband Spenser and Cynthia Miller. Born December 3, 1941 in McKeesport, PA, Mr. Popik was born to the late Matthew and Irene (Mima) Popik and was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mills Popik and a brother Stephen Popik.
