Mrs. Merrill Mills Tiderman, age 74 of Wallace, NC, passed away on August 28, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel in Wallace conducted by Rev. Tom McMahon. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Tiderman of Wallace and Julie Kennedy and husband Timothy of Pink Hill, a grandson, Kyle Johnson of Wallace, four sisters, Hazel Giddeons of Willard, Bonnie Lee Teachey and husband Henry of Rose Hill, Armour Moore and husband Lewis of Rose Hill and Alice Murray and husband Major of Wallace, NC, and several nieces and nephews. Born February 4, 1940 in Pender County, NC, Mrs. Tiderman was the daughter of the late Joe Z. and Viola (English) Mills and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Tiderman, two brothers, Elwood Mills and Bobby Z. Mills and two sisters, Mavis English and Mary Blackburn. Mrs. Tiderman was a member of Mills Memorial Advent Christian Church. She loved working in her flower beds, cooking and spending time with her family. Casketbearers will be Dwight Strickland, Al Highsmith, Earl Smith, Jay Farrior, Ricky Matthews and Wayne Mills.
