Mrs. Myrtle Elizabeth Caison, age 85 of Wallace, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Day Springs Assisted Living in Wallace, NC. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC conducted by Pastor Dustin Gillespie. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services in Wallace, NC. She is survived by a son, Gary Caison and wife Janice of Teachey, NC, and a brother, Edward Brown and wife Lois of Burgaw, NC. Born October 9, 1927 in Pender County, NC, Mrs. Caison was the daughter of the late Foster Brown and Gertrude Brown and was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Leonard Caison, a son, Leonard Caison, a sister and two brothers. She loved gardening, walking around town, and animals, especially her cats. She was an active member of Poston Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
