Mrs. Myrtle Stallings Register age 80 of Wallace died Monday August 22, 2011 at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, O. J. Register, of the home, one son, Jimmy Register and wife Tammy of Wallace, two grandsons, Jimmy Ray and Blake Register, one brother-in-law, Earl Register, one sister-in-law, Virginia Chrisley and one niece, Julie Hayes and husband Curtis and their son, Journey Hatcher. Born November 8, 1930 in Duplin County, Mrs. Register was the daughter of the late Abbie and Lilly Walker Stallings and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She loved her two Chihuahuas, reading, sewing and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by a brother, Amos Stallings. Casketbearers will be Curtis Whitfield, Buddy Henderson, Byron Wilson, Dexter Smith, Curtis Hayes and Bobby Miller.
