Nancy Carol Henderson of Wallace, NC departed her earthly home on the morning of Tuesday, August 27, 2019 while at Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw, NC.  Born on September 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Beasley F. and Lorena Henderson Raynor.  She was also predeceased by her husband—Marion Henderson; son—Bryan Henderson; and three sisters and eight brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children—Susie Sholar and husband Dwight of Wallace, Jerry Henderson and fiance' Teresa W. of Wallace, and Janice Thigpen and husband Jeffrey of Beulaville; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Henderson enjoyed reading and cooking.  She had amazing gardening skills and tremendously enjoyed the time she spent with her plants.  She had a tremendous love for flowers of all kinds.  Most of all she loved her family and loved spending time with family and friends.

Family will receive friends during a visitation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in the chapel of Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services in Wallace.  A service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.  Interment will be held later in a private ceremony.
