Mrs. Ozell Hatchell Wells, age 90, of Morehead City, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at her residence. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Wells Varga and husband Ray, Newport, NC, Mary Wells Dail and husband Mike, Lewisville, NC, five grandchildren, Mona Varga Hopkins, Newport, NC, Vickie Varga Onorio and husband Sam, Newport, NC, Buffie Lynn Varga, Michael Dail and wife Amanda, Chicago, Illinois, Krystal Dail, Lewisville, NC, six great grandchildren, Mikal Guthrie Mann and husband Andrew, Yuma, Arizona, Christian Stephen Guthrie, Newport, NC, Daniel Kemp Guthrie, Newport, NC, Michael Ray Guthrie, Newport, NC, Karalynn Dail, Chicago, Illinois, Julianne Dail, Chicago, Illinois, special friends, Mike & Carol Dixon, Teachey, NC, two sisters, Mina Hatchell Baker, Rose Hill, NC & Mary Hatchell Finch, Wilmington, NC, one brother, Norman Hatchell, Rose Hill, NC, two sisters-in-law, Lila Wells Farrior, Willard, NC & Crystal Wells Johnson, Rose Hill, NC, two brothers-in-law, William \"Joe\" Wells, Teachey, NC & Jacob Wells, Callahan, Florida. Born October 6, 1970 in Duplin County, Mrs. Wells was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Hatchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee \"Fella\" Wells, Jr. and one son, Gordon Lee Wells. She loved to sing, garden and played the piano by ear.
