Mrs. Patricia Mary Giglio Swinson, age 75 of Wallace, NC, died on August 30, 2016 at her home. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Wallace, NC conducted by Father Roch Drozdzik. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Burgaw, NC. The family will receive friends and family on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC.

She is survived by her son, Michael Swinson and wife Myong of MD, three daughters, Karen Herring and husband Vance of Rose Hill, NC, Patricia Swinson and wife Kate of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Heather Gray and husband Aaron of TX, her mother, Joan Giglio of MA, her brother, Frank Giglio and wife Marilyn of MA, her sister, Marie Giglio Helinski and husband Tony of NH, her grandsons, Erik Swinson of New Mexico, Brandon Swinson of MD, Lennon Swinson and Ben Swinson of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, her granddaughters, Sarah Herring Morris and husband Nate of Rose Hill, NC and Harper Swinson of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and her great grandchildren, Hayden, Karson and Mila.

She was born on March 10, 1941 in Cambridge, MA to Joan Carlino Giglio and the late Arthur Giglio. She is predeceased by her husband, Milton Roy Swinson, and her brother, Leonard Giglio.

She loved her Church, her family, politics and animals, especially cats.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Swinson's memory to Lower Cape Fear Hospice 1414 Physician's Drive Wilmington, NC 28401.

Casketbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.
