Ms. Peggy Jean Hardison, age 65, passed away on July 2, 2013 at her residence in Magnolia, NC. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2:00 at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel in Wallace, NC conducted by Reverend Buddy Mitchell. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens in Warsaw, NC. The family will receive on Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 5:-00-7:00 p.m at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel in Wallace, NC. She is survived by two sons, Barry Hardison of Sneads Ferry, NC, and Michael Hardison and wife Angelana of Clinton, NC, a daughter, Sharon Herrera and husband Victor of Magnolia, NC, five grandchildren, Herbert Pope, Savannah Hardison, Brandon Herrera, April Hardison and Justin Hardison, a great grandson, Brent Pope, two sisters, Mabel Faison of Magnolia, NC and Janice Watson of Waycross, NC. Ms. Hardison was born August 22, 1947 to the late Bud and Beulah (Hall) Stroud. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arnold Stroud, Franklin Stroud, and Forest Stroud and four sisters, Mildred Savage, Niomi Grey, Louise Boone, and Doris Usher. Ms. Hardison attended Warsaw High School and spent 30 years working at House of Raeford. She loved spending time with her family and friends, music, and cooking. She spent many hours as a caretaker for many residences. Casketbearers will be Steve Stewart, Keith McGee, Ryan Chester, Gary Boone, Lyndon Watson and Phillip Watson.
